A Sincere Apology and Our Commitment to You
On July 31, 2026, a breach exposed private information belonging to our clients. We take full responsibility for this, and we deeply regret the worry and disruption it has caused you. We understand that for many of you, trusting us with personal information is not a small thing, and we failed to honor that trust as we should have. Words alone cannot undo what happened, so we would like to share, clearly and concretely, what we are doing to make sure this does not happen again.
-
Restricting access. We have reduced the number of staff with access to client personal information, limiting it only to those who require it to do their work.
-
Moving to a dedicated mailing platform. Group emails to clients will now be sent through a tool built specifically for this purpose: one where no recipient's address is ever visible to another.
-
Making BCC mandatory. Any email reaching more than one client will be sent via BCC as a firm rule, enforced through a separate provider configured to require it.
-
Adding a second reviewer. Before any group email is sent, a second staff member will independently check the recipient list.
-
Retraining our entire team. Every staff member who communicates with clients will complete training on data privacy and the careful handling of personal information.
We know that rebuilding trust takes consistent action over time, and we intend to earn that trust back with every interaction going forward.
If you have any questions, or any concerns at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly at reachout@therapyjp.com. We will respond with the care this deserves.
We are truly, deeply sorry.
