Mariia is a licensed clinical psychologist and psychotherapist based in Japan, integrating CBT, mindfulness-based approaches, ACT, and Narrative Therapy to support adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and psychotherapist based in Japan, specializing in evidence-based practices to support individuals on their journey toward mental well-being. My approach integrates scientifically supported methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy.
I believe that mental health is deeply interconnected with emotional, physical, and social well-being, and I approach each person from a holistic perspective, addressing all aspects of life to foster resilience and long-term healing.
Each individual's story is unique. My therapy sessions are tailored to align with your specific goals, personal experiences, and cultural background, ensuring a compassionate and effective treatment plan that empowers lasting change.
Areas of Support
Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, or life transitions, I am here to provide a supportive and evidence-based path toward healing. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety and panic, depression and persistent low mood, obsessive-compulsive patterns, trauma and post-traumatic stress, and relationship difficulties, both individual and couple.
Therapeutic Approach
My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy, drawing on whichever combination of evidence-based methods best fits your goals. Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your personal experiences and cultural background, so treatment feels relevant rather than generic.
Who I Work With
I work with adults and young adults, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and OCD, trauma survivors and those living with PTSD, and clients navigating relationship problems, whether individually or as a couple. Sessions are offered online, in English, Japanese, or Russian.
Professional Experience
I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology (MSc) and am currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Tokyo, specializing in Clinical Psychology. My training spans CBT, MBSR, ACT, and Narrative Therapy, and I bring this integrative, evidence-based foundation to each client's individualized treatment plan.
